Loved By Mollie - My Favourite Picks

It's been announced that the ever glamorous Mollie King is collaborating with Oasis to bring you her very own line... if anyone loves Mollie King as much as me you would of been very excited!!!

I've always loved Mollie Kings style, she dresses so sophisticated, but yet always manages to keep it young and on a budget which means we can achieve her look without having to break the bank. Mollie is most comomnly spotted wearing Topshop but they seem to only do collaborations with designers so Oasis is a great next stop.

I personally haven't shopped in Oasis for years, it's always been a bit boring and overpriced for my liking but this new collection has definitely had me paying them a visit! The range of items offered in the 'Love by Mollie' is a great capsule collection that contains warm autumnal colours and gorgeous pieces perfect for layering.

These are my favourite 3 looks for the LOOKBOOK on the Oasis website...

I've also popped some of my favourite items that I'm drooling lusting over below to give you an idea of the range, you can take a peek at it all HERE.

Topshop Beguiled Lipstick Review

Topshop Beguiled Lipstick Review

I've been wanting a plum lipstick for Autumn, I love how dark and vampy they look - especially paired with leather and a fedora. I picked up Beguilded in Topshop for £8, I've always loved Topshop lipsticks, the colours are gorgeous, they're moisturisng and reasonably priced.

This shade is quite a red toned plum rather than purple but this is better for me as with my fair skin too purple would look terrifying! The consistency is like all other Topshop lipsticks but slightly drier. I had this on for around 3 hours (and 2 glasses of wine) before I needed to top up. When I went to apply more I noticed that it had gone very dry around the outside, I had to scrub it iff with a bit of tissue and reapply, I think the best way to avoid this would of been to put lip balm on before applying any lipstick.

Halloween Costume Inspiration

Halloween is one of my favourite times of year, since around the age of 12 I've dressed up every year. The night would start with my homemade costume which would usually be a textbox witch with those awful push on finger tips, or if I was feeling adventurous a vampire with those painful fake fangs that just collect saliva. Me and my best friend would go round knocking on neighbours doors collecting as many sweets as possible. Two of my favourite memories are getting egged by a group of teenage boys... luckily I dodged it but my friends creative ghost costume (a bed sheet) got covered, and another year being given an orange.. seriously we're kids we don't want an orange!!!

Fast forward 10 years and my costume ideas have developed tenfold, last year I rocked Black Swan (made from scratch may I add) and this year I'm already planning something to top that! I wanted to share with you some of my favourite outfit ideas. I love searching Pintrest and Google to find something original, I know you're supposed to dress scary at Halloween but I think it's just a great excuse to get dressed up... or in 'Girl World' dress as a slut!

The first outfit idea that caught my eye was Lauren Conrads Flapper Outfit. The fact that LC is a regulation hottie and my love for The Great Gatsby this year I instantly fell in love with it. I love the colour scheme she's gone for as well, gorgeous creams & peaches. With Halloween I think it's all about chucking together cheap things and not blowing £40 on a ready-made (very flammable) costume.

For a look like this you could find a flapper dress on eBay or in a Charity Shop, all the other accessories can be cheaply sourced from ebay and the head-dress easily made with elasticated sequins and a big feather from a haberdashery store.

Leona Lewis has pulled of Killer Prom Queen perfectly.. I'm not going to lie, one year I tried this, I wore a black dress with a tutu underneath, a sash and a tiara and it wasn't amazing, one guy even came up to me and asked me if it was my birthday CRINGE!!!!!

I think the main thing is to cover yourself in blood, lots of it! Most people have an old white dress from summer and vasity jackets are everywhere now so can be picked up cheaply.

Animals is always a great theme for Halloween, Audrina Partridge has gone with a Peacock which looks so pretty, I love the colours! This one would take a bit more planning but you could buy a load of Peacock Feathers and stick them to bodice/vest top. Tutu's can be bought or made (I made my last year using a no-sew tutorial) and YouTube is a God send for makeup inspriration!

What are you planning on dressing up as this year?

Lush Review - H'suan Wen Hua & Mint Julips

Lush H'suan Wen Hua Mint Julips Review

At age 24 I am proud to say I have finally lost my Lush virginity.

Lush Products are raved about in blogging community so I felt it was finally time to give it a whirl. I've always loved the look of the Lip Scrubs as I get really dry lips so that's what I planned to pick up... I might of tripped and fell and also ended up getting a Hair Treatment!

Hair Treatments to me, should do 3 things:

1. Make your hair look great
2. Make your hair feel great
3. And make you smell great

This treatment is quite a runny consistency, you apply it to dry hair and leave it on for 20 minutes. Once the treatment had been on for appox 20 minutes you rinse it off and then continue to wash your hair with your normal products. I coated my hair all over, tied it in a bun and left it just before my shower - I then washed my hair as normal.

Once my hair was washed I brushed it, dried it, and straightened it. I could definitely see the results immediately, my hair looked glossier, healthy and felt great.  I'm going to be honest though ... I hated the smell, I understand that Lush products are 100% natural but it just smelt like a weird mix of banana and cinnamon and it made me feel sick! Even the next day I could smell it on my hair and I really didn't like it.

Although I love how healthy my hair looked after this treatment I wouldn't repurchase purely on the smell. I think it might be worth popping into Lush again and making sure I give the products a good sniff before deciding!

Lush Lip Scrubs come in 3 'flavours' I picked up Mint Julips which is a yummy chocolatey mint smell (and taste!). It contains Caster Sugar which is excellent for really scrubbing all the dead skin of you lips and then also lots of naturals oils to refresh your lips and keep them soft.

I use mine about 2 times a week, in the evenings. I start with dry lips and just dip my finger in the pot, I then scrub at my lips back and forward and also in circular motions. I'm not gonna kid you... it hurts, but it's worth it to get a kissable pout!

To finish I wash of any excess scrub & skin (gross) and clean over with a cloth - I then apply Blistex MediPlus Lip Balm which is my absolute favourite, it's minty, cool and very very good for chapped lips!

OOTN - LBD

Zara TRF Heels

Yesterday I felt very 'ill'. I think it might of had something to do with the copious amounts of alcohol consumed on Saturday night, although I can't be sure! I took a few snaps before I left to share my ensemble with you...

I opted for a LBD from Boohoo - this dress is literally my new favourite dress. I bought it in 2 colours, black & berry, I had a 20% off discount code so got them for just £12 each... they'e so versatile and I'm going to get so much wear out of them. For shoes I had my Zara Ankle Strap Heels, they look fab but are not the comfiest and I added some gold accessories with this chunky H&M necklace and stackable ASOS rings.

What did you do this weekend?

HeadKandy / Dirty Looks Hair Extensions Review - Manhattan Highlights

HeadKandy Dirty Looks Hair Extensions Review Manhattan Highlights 16-18 inches

Hair Extensions for me are a Holy Grail. I've worn them for the last 5 years and I've tried just a few to say the least! The last 3 times I've coloured my hair and needed new extensions I've been turning to the same company - Dirty Looks (previously known as HeadKandy).

This post has A LOT of pictures but when I searched for Dirty Looks reviews this is the one thing I really found the internet was lacking. It's so hard trying to decided what shade to go for when picking Extensions online so hopefully all the pictures will give you an idea of the shade & quality of this brand.

To start you need to decide what length you want to go for: 12-14 inch, 16-18inch, 20-22inch or 24-26inch... I have always opted for 16-18 inch. You then can decide what thickness/weight you want, I selected the original HK Full Head which has 160g of hair which includes the gem that is the Quad Weft!

Once you've ordered you hair extensions they will be with you in around 1-2 working days by Signed Delivery (yeeppp I had to run to my door in my dressing gown at 7am to sign for them). They come in a box which I love as they're perfect for storing the extension in, the hair itself is in a plastic zip bag - most of the hair is in a sealed compartment but one weft is accessible, this is a great as it gives you an opportunity to make sure this shade matches your hair. If they don't quite match you can return them as long as you don't open the main section of hair (has a silver sticker sealing it). You also get a brochure about the product and instructions on how to put them in.

Included:

1 x Quad Weft
2 x 3 Clip Ins
5 x 2 Clip Ins
2 x 1 Clip Ins

Once I have clipped the extensions in they are super easy to style - my favourite look to do is loose curls with a few bits clipped up, the curls help blend the extensions in and pinning bits up gives you a bit of height. I also wear them for up do's - buns, ponytails etc...

Dirty Looks are by far my favourite brand of extensions, they are amazing quality, really thick and a great investment. One set usually lasts me 12 months and that's styling then twice a weekend and giving them the occasional clean.

The price of these do vary depending on the length and thickness you want. Mine usually coast around £90 and can he purchased here.

Shellac Wildfire Red Gel Manicure Review

I love a classic red manicure, there's something so classy and staple about it. It goes with almost anything and I always feel very professional with a gorgeous red on my fingertips!

I've mentioned Shellac before and how much I love it. It's a gel manicure that dries instantly, stays glossy and lasts 2 weeks! There's quite a few reds to choose from but I opted for 'Wildfire' -Wildfire is a cream finish and a mid-tone red.

I couldn't mention this shade without posting the SBTRKT record Wildfire... love it, especially the Drake remix!

OOTD - Blue Boucle Jacket

Just a few cheeky snaps from last weekend! I had a Boucle Jacket in my saved ASOS Basket for about a month, when I saw this blue on in the Primark sale for £5 I couldn't reseist!!! I'm still quite tempted to get the ASOS one as that's now reduced to £21 and I love the neon colour.

The rest of my outfit is quite plain, I love wearing all black everything and then jazzing it up with something bright (jacket, scarf, necklace...) I'm also wearing my new HeadKandy/Dirty Looks extensions... review coming this week!
