Hair Wish List

I think every girls beauty desire is to have long, healthy, big hair.

I've been trying my best over the last few years, trying endless volumising treatments, mousses and a lot of backbrushing (while trying to avoid looking like someone from MTV The Valleys!)

There is 100's of products available for us on the market that have golden promises to improve your Rapunzel locks. I've whittled it down to a few that our really catching my eye and trying to get me to spend my pennies!

Moroccanoil Treatments sprung on the scene a few years ago and I don't think anyone has looked back. I personally use them as a pre blow-dry product , they make my hair feel soft and look glossy (some people use it after they've styled their hair too, have you tried this?) Up until now I've been using cheaper alternatives as this one is expensive to say the least... but after hearing glowing, after glowing reviews of the original I think it's time to give it a go.

Anything that is advertised as a Volumising Foam has my attention immediately. I spotted this one on Feel Unique while searching for other KMS products (below). Big bouncy hair you will be mine!

I think the blogger with the most envied hair is Rosie from The Londoner. Her gorgeous blow-dry looks flawless in every single post. I definitely do not have the time, or patience to do this everyday but it's defnitely a look that can be achieved when you've got a bit more free time. She mentioned that she swears by the KMS TameFrizz Products, as soon as I read this they were TOP of my wishlist!

I can't really say I have thick hair, but I have a lot of hair, trying to brush it is a reoccurring nightmare. I even tried the famous Tangle Tamer after all the hype and it did nothing for me, it would literally do the top layer and then just get stuck.

Does anyone else wake up with the knots at the back of their head which makes you look like you've been dragged through a hedge in your sleep?! I usually just try and tackle my hair with a paddle brush but this looks really great in the video reviews I've seen, definitely going to pick this up.

Well, well, well... I've been naughty and left the best till last haven't I!

Now if you haven't heard of this product where have you been?! From what I've read this is basically a posh dry shampoo that gives amazing results. It's supposed add texture and movement to the hair and basically just make it look the bomb. The only thing that's been putting me off if the price tag, it's one of those 'oh next payday...' I think I just need to bite the bullet and get it!

Have you tried any of these products? What products would you recommend?

Fashion Edit: Vinyl Visions

A few years back the only time I would of put PVC and fashion together would of been thinking of Little Miss Kitty wanting some milk... aka Michelle Pfieffer as the sexy Catwoman. Fast-foward to 2014 and there's been a huge shiny explosion all around us!

Walking (potentially with a slight squeak) into a room dressed in vinyl may be a bit overwhelming at first, but it's a style that's guaranteed to turn heads. If rocking the look of Nancy from The Craft isn't your thing it's super easy to tone down with some soft fabrics, layering and cute pastels. Or if you're happy to style your look on Nancy from The Craft then you bloomin' rock it!

The first look is a lot more glam, the outfit I've out together would be perfect for a night out or dinner. It pull all the current trends together - vinyl, pastel and a statement necklace. I'm really loving cropped fluffy jumper at the moment. If you pop in Primark they have got a rainbow of pastel colours available... I literally wanted them all!

The second look is a lot more casual, I would wear this at the weekend or if I was going to a bit more of a grimey club! It'll be comfortable and would look great with either a messy ponytail or a really 'undone' hair look.

Have you experimented with Vinyls or PVC?

Beauty Edit - Mac Melba Blusher

MAC Melba Blusher Review Swatch Peach Warm Glow

My mum has owned MAC Melba for the last 2 years but it spent most of it's time in an adopted home... aka my makeup bag. I finally got around to picking up my own one from my local MAC because it's necessary for every girl to own at least 10 peach based products right?!

This blusher is a gorgeous peachy coral colour. It adds warmth to the my face and gives a glowing healthy look. This is a matte consistency, I try to only use shimmer blushers when heading out so this is perfect for everyday use - you can always add a bit of an extra glow with a bit of Benefit High Beam underneath which will look so gorgeous in summer!

To apply this I use my Clinique Blusher Brush, swirl in the pan, tap off and excess and then sweep onto the apple of my cheek and slightly up my cheek bone. This is very pigmented to it's important not to be too heavy handed... you don't want to end up looking like a peach!

I'm really in love with this blusher, it's such a cute everyday colour that really gives a boost. I'm loving using in for a natural look with my Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss.

Beauty Edit: MAC Girl About Town Lipstick

MAC Girl About Town Lipstick Review Swatch

I've been wanting a darker, more plummy pink lipstick for a while now. Before buying any makeup I always do a bit of homework and after flicking through various blogs I finally decided on MAC Girl About Town.

Girl About Town is part of the 'Amplified' range. This is my first amplified lipstick, I always seem to choose cremesheen colours but I'm literally loving how much of a 'punch' this colour packs! The amplified lipsticks are basically give you opaque coverage, but they're a lot less drying than the Matte Collection

I would describe the colour as a blue based, bright pink fuscia. Usually I steer away from blue based products as they're too cold for my skin tone but this just looks gorgeous on. It lasts for hours - literally I put it on and 4 hours later it hadn't budged. It doesn't go dry and flakey like some long lasting lipsticks, it forms more into a stain so looks perfect!

This has been worn by Beyonce and Rihanna and I can 100% see why they'd pick it. For us everyday girls it might not be ideal for everyday wear (maybe a tad bright for a trip to the supermaket) but this is PERFECT for nights out!
