STUDIO 29 Launch Event

Last night I was kindly invited along to attend the Official Launch Party at Southampton's newest and most glamourous Beauty Salon:

Studio 29 first opened in Spring 2013 on London Road which is a prime spot right in the City Centre. With its striking black & orange decor it's one of the most fashionable Salons I've walked into recently!

I first visited Studio 29 about 8 weeks ago - prior to going on holiday I wanted to get a base tan using sun beds. I know a lot of people won't agree with the use of sun beds but when you are as pale as me stepping into 30 degree heat is asking to look like a lobster no matter how much Factor 30 you use! 

When entering the salon I was a bit apprehensive as I hadn't had much experience with sun beds and as I'm sure like most had a slight fear! I was immediately put at ease by Holly one of the Beauticians - she was very knowledgable and was able to guide me through the whole process, advise how many minutes was best for me and gave me tips on how I could achieve the perfect tan. I was so impressed with the service I received I haven't stopped recommending it to people, it makes such a change to get a smile and a bit of advice and this makes you feel at ease straight away!

There's 3 main members of Staff that work Gemma - Salon Manager and Holly & Lauren who are beauticians. All staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. They offer an extensive list of treatments, including Gel Manicures, Laser Hair Removal, and Teeth Whitening!

On the Launch Night there was various demonstrations for everyone to watch and ask questions on. I managed to catch a glimpse of the Microdermabrasion - This is a unique treatment uses a diamond-head abrasion tool, which allows the skin to be regenerated. It achieves this by mechanically exfoliating the upper layers of the skin (the epidermis), which then encourages new skin cells to grow and makes the skin appear rejuvenated. It is perfect for Acne Scars, Stretch Marks or just giving your skin that little boost to help you look glowing and youthful.

If you live in Southampton or near-by I would highly recommend visiting this salon, if it's just to get a quick glimpse of the glittery wallpaper or treat yourself to a little pamper it's worth it! The staff are friendly and approachable and will be able to give you hints and tips on any look you're wanting to achieve!
